Partitioning tips

Make /var big, if running database or email service.

Delete /var/tmp, and softlink it to /tmp

Make a seperate /home, if it is big. As /usr is needed to start the system, and therefore must be fsck’ed after a crash.

Make a tiny /mnt, so that scripts don’t fill up /, when operating at a mounted folder which does not exist.

If multiple disks, make some swap on each one.
